Ex-Wife Lists Danny Cipriani's Rugby Memorabilia on Vinted Two Years After Split

Victoria Rose O'Callaghan, the ex-wife of former England rugby star Danny Cipriani, is selling a collection of his personal sporting items on the online marketplace Vinted. This move comes more than two years after their highly publicized separation, which was marked by accusations of deceit and emotional turmoil.

Details of the Vinted Sale

Approximately 40 pieces from Cipriani's playing career have been listed for sale, with prices reaching up to £280 per item. Victoria has clarified that all proceeds from the sales will be donated to charity. On her Vinted profile, she described the items as "genuine player items gathered over years at the top level of the sport", including match-issued gear, tour kits, and squad-worn apparel from his time with England, Sale Sharks, and other clubs.

Many of the items are personalized, signed, or linked to specific games and milestones, offering collectors and fans a rare glimpse into Cipriani's decade-long career. Victoria emphasized that the designer wear is authentic and that Cipriani formally relinquished ownership of these items to her during their divorce proceedings.

Background of the Relationship and Split

Danny Cipriani, 38, and Victoria Rose O'Callaghan, 44, were married for two-and-a-half years after dating for 11 months. They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in April 2021 but announced their split in November 2023. At the time, Cipriani stated publicly that while they had shared wonderful times, they were on different journeys and wished each other the best.

However, the separation quickly turned acrimonious. Victoria claimed she felt "knifed in the heart" when Cipriani announced their breakup on Instagram without prior notice. In response, Cipriani later alleged that their relationship was built on "lies" and "deceit", accusing Victoria of fabricating stories about her past, including claims of being headhunted by MI5 and having a multi-million-pound inheritance.

Motivations Behind the Sale

Victoria explained that her decision to sell the memorabilia stems from a desire to move on, rather than any ill will toward her ex-husband. She revealed that she had been storing the items for years, expecting Cipriani to collect them, but he repeatedly declined, even during court appearances. "For months, actually years, I've been paying for storage, holding onto boxes of Danny's career, memorabilia, kits, medals, and personal items," she wrote online. "He didn't care enough to take responsibility for his own history."

In an interview last year, Victoria also disclosed that Cipriani left their marriage abruptly, with no explanation, and mentioned his struggles with drug use and mental health issues. Cipriani has previously admitted to using cocaine and psychedelics, which he said led to paranoia during their relationship.

Current Status of Both Parties

Since the split, Danny Cipriani has moved on and is currently in a relationship with actress Annalynne McCord, 38. The couple briefly separated but reconciled in July of last year. Meanwhile, Victoria continues to focus on her career as a neuroscience practitioner and is using the Vinted sale as a means to clear out old items and support charitable causes.

The sale highlights the lingering tensions from their marriage, but Victoria insists it is not an act of revenge. Instead, it represents a practical step toward closure, allowing fans to own a piece of rugby history while benefiting charitable organizations.
