A three-year-old boy has tragically died after falling from a height at a block of flats in South London. The incident occurred in Sutton shortly after 5.15pm on Sunday, May 24. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene following reports of the fall.
According to witnesses, the toddler fell from a second-storey window. He was immediately taken to hospital for emergency treatment but sadly succumbed to his injuries.
A woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect in connection with the incident. She remains in police custody as investigations continue.
The Metropolitan Police released a statement confirming the details: "Police were called at 17:18hrs on Sunday, 24 May to reports a child had fallen from height from a home address in Sutton. A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment where he sadly died. His next of kin are aware. A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of child neglect and remains in custody. Enquiries into the circumstances continue."
