The London Borough of Bexley has received a planning application for a property in Belvedere to be converted into a children's home for up to four young people, alongside a separate application for drainage details linked to hockey facilities in Bexley.
The proposal at 11 Abbotswood Close, Belvedere, seeks a lawful development certificate for the change of use from a residential dwelling, with staff present on a rota basis. The application, reference 26/01823/LDCP, is one of 26 applications recently submitted to the council.
Children's home and extension applications
Other lawful development certificate applications include a roof-space conversion at 1 Maxwell Road, Welling, with hip-to-gable enlargement, rear dormer and front rooflights (ref. 26/01834/LDCP), and a similar conversion at 100 Northall Road, Bexleyheath, which also includes a detached outbuilding in the rear garden (ref. 26/01813/LDCP).
Two prior approval applications for larger single-storey rear extensions were also submitted: at 160 King Harolds Way, Bexleyheath, extending six metres beyond the original rear wall with a maximum height of 3.20 metres and eaves height of 2.75 metres (ref. 26/01833/GPDE), and at 50 Basing Drive, Bexley, extending eight metres with a maximum height and eaves height of 2.53 metres (ref. 26/01828/GPDE).
Advertisement and commercial applications
Two advertising applications were lodged for commercial premises. The Broadway Shopping Centre in Bexleyheath seeks to display five non-illuminated and four illuminated fascia signs, two non-illuminated and two illuminated totem-pole signs, and artwork (ref. 26/01836/ADV). Meanwhile, 35-37 Sidcup High Street in Sidcup plans an internally illuminated fascia sign, projecting sign and door surround (ref. 26/01835/ADV).
A retrospective application at 33-47 Bexley Lane, Crayford, seeks approval for an existing single-storey walk-in fridge and the erection of a further single-storey walk-in fridge (ref. 26/01830/FUL).
Hockey facilities and other developments
At Mill Meadow, Bexley High Street, an application seeks approval of drainage details linked to proposals for hockey facilities, including changing rooms, a pavilion, storage and office space, an all-weather pitch, parking and landscaping (ref. 21/02043/FULM03).
Other residential applications include extensions at 61 Carisbrooke Avenue, 202 Erith Road, 38 Central Avenue, 3 Alexander Road, 62 Highland Road, 46 Willersley Avenue, 28 Birchington Close, 5 Parkhurst Road, 30 Cheviot Close, and 1 Hurstwood Avenue. A variation of condition at 66 Old Farm Avenue relates to an outbuilding, and works to trees in the Christchurch Conservation Area are proposed at 12 Victoria Road, Sidcup.
