Man charged with murder after Wembley stabbing

A man from Brent has been formally charged with murder after a fatal stabbing incident in Wembley earlier this week, which resulted in the death of a 22-year-old man.

Charges Laid Following Fatal Attack

Kevon Jenkins, aged 22, of Wharton Close in Brent, now faces serious charges. He has been charged with murder as well as possession of a pointed and bladed article. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Monday, December 1, on High Road in Wembley, North West London.

Jenkins is scheduled to appear before Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, December 4 to answer to these charges.

Police Response and Victim

Metropolitan Police officers were called to the scene at approximately 12.55pm on Monday, December 1, following reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found a 22-year-old man with serious injuries.

Despite receiving emergency treatment at the location, the victim's condition was critical. He was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead from his injuries. Specialist police officers are currently supporting the victim's family during this tragic time.

Further Arrest and Bail

In connection with the investigation, police also arrested a 21-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender. This arrest took place at the same time as Jenkins's arrest, which occurred on Tuesday, December 2, the day after the stabbing.

The woman has since been released on bail pending further police enquiries. The investigation remains active as officers continue to piece together the events that led to the young man's death.
