The Guardian has issued corrections for two errors in recent articles. A headline on June 26 stated “Skripal house for sale – with no mention of novichok poisoning,” which was incorrect. The article itself noted that the property particulars from estate agent Carter & May included the disclosure: “For full disclosure, this property was involved in the novichok event that took place in 2018.” The headline error occurred only in the print edition; the online version was amended to correct a similar misstatement in the text.
Lionel Messi Age Correction
In a June 18 article titled “Ageless talisman spreads cheer with masterclass,” the Guardian incorrectly reported that Lionel Messi was 19 when he scored his first goal for Argentina’s national football team. The correct age is 18.
Other Recently Amended Articles
Additional corrections include pieces on new Isa rules and a fashion accessory for heatwaves titled “Behold the sunbrella, fashion’s stealth accessory for a heatwave.”
