Bromley Council has unveiled its comprehensive list of roads scheduled for resurfacing and reconstruction over the next year. The South East London authority, which manages 547 miles of roads and 885 miles of footways across the capital's largest borough, has published its Planned Highway Maintenance Programme for 2026/27.
Programme Overview
The programme outlines which roads will undergo planned maintenance, including resurfacing and reconstruction, over the next 10 months. The council's latest highway condition survey revealed that 17 per cent of the borough's roads require planned maintenance, at an estimated cost of over £30 million. This year's programme is funded by £2.25 million from Bromley Council's own capital funds, supplemented by a £3.77 million grant from the Department for Transport.

- Burnt Ash Lane (A2212) – from Plaistow Lane to New Street Hill
- Court Road (A224) – from Church Road to the borough boundary
- High Street, Green Street Green (A223) – complete length
- Leaves Green Road (A233) – from Downe Road to Blackness Lane
- Perry Street (A222) – from borough boundary to Leas Green
- Rectory Road (A2015) – complete length
- Sevenoaks Way (A224) – from Broomwood Road to Leesons Hill
- Westerham Road (A233) – from Heathfield Road to Downe Road
