Essex Police have conducted coordinated searches at the Drewitt-Barlow Stadium, home to Maldon and Tiptree FC, and the mansion of reality TV star Barrie Drewitt-Barlow as part of an investigation into alleged human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and rape.

Arrests Made in Ongoing Investigation

Two men, aged 57 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of rape, human trafficking for sexual exploitation, and administering a noxious substance. They remain in custody and are being questioned by detectives.

Officers from the Serious Crime Directorate carried out searches in Danbury, Maldon, and Braintree. Searches are ongoing at all locations.

The non-league football club's grounds were due to serve as a polling station for local elections today. However, Doug Wilkinson, deputy returning officer for Maldon District Council, confirmed that the polling station has been relocated to Blackwater Leisure Centre due to the ongoing police investigation.

Essex Police have urged anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
