Police Response and Investigation
Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said on Saturday that officers responded to the scene shortly after the shooting was reported. He confirmed that the suspected shooter was among the dead, though he did not specify whether the death was self-inflicted or the result of police fire. Authorities are working to determine the shooter's identity and motive, and are interviewing witnesses who were inside the restaurant at the time.
"We are in the very early stages of this investigation," Hicks said. "Our priority is to ensure the safety of the community and gather as much information as possible." The police have not released the names of the victims, pending notification of their families.

The shooting has shocked the Twin Falls community, which is not accustomed to violent crime of this scale.
