Pawan Khera, Chairman of the media and publicity department for India's Congress party, expressed solidarity with the victims' families, stating: "In this hour of grief, we stand with the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured." He called on the government to "ensure a thorough and speedy investigation into the incident."
The explosion near the historic Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, has raised concerns about security in one of Delhi's most prominent locations, though the exact target and motivation behind the blast remain unclear as police continue their investigation.
