Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27. The former model passed away on Sunday, September 20, at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. His cause of death has not yet been disclosed, with an autopsy still pending.
Family confirms death and requests privacy
The death was confirmed by Allie Jenkins, a representative for Cindy and Rande Gerber, who asked for privacy on behalf of the family. 'The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,' Jenkins said. Presley was the couple's only son and the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber.
Modelling career and public struggles
Presley followed his mother's footsteps into modelling after being signed by IMG Models at age 15. He made his runway debut for Moschino in Los Angeles in 2016 and went on to work with major brands including Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana and Celine. In recent years, Presley had also spoken publicly about his struggles with mental health and addiction. He used social media to discuss his recovery and had been open about dealing with depression and panic attacks. In December 2025, he spoke about his mental health and medication in a post that was later deleted. His struggles had also been discussed publicly by his sister Kaia, who described his battle with addiction as a long-running family struggle.
Legal history and final appearance
Presley was arrested for driving under the influence in January 2019. Later that year, he was sentenced to three years' probation, ordered to complete a DUI programme and given two days of community service. His death comes after he made a rare public appearance with his family earlier this year, supporting Kaia at an event in May. Presley's family have asked for privacy as they mourn his death.
