Lee Walker, 24, of Dunkery Road, Mottingham, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and other offences following an alleged stabbing in Woolwich. The charge comes after police investigated an incident on Herbert Road that occurred at approximately 5.45pm on Saturday, September 26.

Walker was charged on Monday, September 28, with grievous bodily harm with intent, two counts of possession of a bladed article, possession of a Class B drug (cannabis), driving not in accordance with a licence, and no insurance. He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 29, where he was remanded in custody.
Walker is scheduled to next appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday, October 27. The charges relate to an alleged incident that prompted a police investigation along Herbert Road in Woolwich.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed the charges in a statement: "Detectives investigating a stabbing in Herbert Road, Woolwich, at about 17:45hrs on Saturday, 26 September have charged a man."
The spokesperson added: "Lee Walker, 24 (22.05.02), of Dunkery Road, Mottingham was charged on Monday, 28 September with grievous bodily harm with intent, two counts of possession of a bladed article, possession of a Class B drug (cannabis), driving no in accordance with a licence and no insurance. He appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 29 September. He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday, 27 October."
Victim Hospitalised
The victim, a man aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with non life-threatening or life-changing injuries, according to the police spokesperson. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and Walker remains in custody pending his next court appearance.
