A motorcyclist, believed to be a man in his 30s, has died following a collision with a London bus on Tollington Park in Islington. The incident occurred at approximately 11.30am today (Friday, September 25), and the man was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of emergency services.
The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service attended the scene after receiving reports of a crash between a bus and a motorcycle. Upon arrival, officers found the motorcyclist unconscious in the road. The man's next-of-kin are yet to be informed, and no arrests have been made.
Emergency services respond to fatal collision
A Met Police spokesperson said: "At around 11.30am on Friday, September 25, police attended Tollington Road, Holloway, following reports of a collision between a bus and a motorcycle. Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service. Upon arrival, they found the motorcyclist, a man believed to be aged in his 30s, unconscious in the road."
The spokesperson added: "Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the motorcyclist was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Police are working to inform his next-of-kin. There were no other injuries. No arrests have been made."

Road closures cause heavy traffic in the area
The one-way road remains closed from A103 Hornsey Road to Hertslet Road, with the closure in place for over five hours. The road is not expected to reopen imminently, and heavy traffic is reported in the surrounding areas.
Congestion is building towards Finsbury Park, onto Blackstock Road and Stroud Green Road, with queues also reported on Seven Sisters Road. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and allow extra time for journeys.
London Ambulance Service details response
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.31am today (Friday, September 25) to reports of a road traffic collision on Tollington Road, Islington. We sent an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer, a motorcycle responder and an advanced paramedic."
The spokesperson added: "Despite the efforts to save his life, a man sadly died at the scene."
The crash on Tollington Park, which sits in the N7 postcode and is lined with Victorian homes, marks the second fatal accident in the capital today. Earlier, at around 1.15am, a 24-year-old man riding an e-bike died in a hit-and-run involving a moped in Ladbroke Grove.
