The crash happened at around 12.45 am on Saturday, January 11, 2026, on Wigan Road. A red Seat Leon and a Citroen Picasso were involved in a serious collision. Tragically, the driver of the Seat and two passengers died at the scene. The driver of the Citroen was also pronounced dead following the impact.

Five other individuals were injured and transported to hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not been disclosed by authorities.
