Black Horse pub Biggin Hill managers step back after nine years

The owners of The Black Horse, a historic pub in Biggin Hill, are stepping back from the business to "spend more time together as a family." The pub, located on Main Road, has been put up for sale at a guide price of £75,000 as new landlords are sought.

Current managers Nimisha and Vijay Limbachia have run the pub since November 2017, but are now looking to "slow down" after nearly nine years at the helm. They told the News Shopper: "We have been proud to serve the Biggin Hill community since November 2017, and we have loved every moment of it."

A Family Decision After Nine Years

The Limbachias explained their decision, saying: "Over the years, we have shared in many of the community's happiest memories and stood by people in their times of hardship. We have worked hard to turn the Black Horse into a warm, welcoming family pub, where youngsters come in for their first drink with their families, and little ones drag their parents along so they can play in the play area. It is now time for us to take a step back, slow down and spend more time together as a family."

The pub, which dates back to the 19th century, is the closest pub to Biggin Hill Airfield and was formerly a pair of cottages. The current owners have been at the helm since November 2017.

Pub Features and Sale Details

A Zoopla listing from estate agent Sidney Phillips advertises the pub as a "profitable free-of-tie business with scope for food" and "spacious" three-bedroom accommodation on the first floor. For customers, the pub has a bar, games room and snug, as well as a garden area - which seats between 90 and 100 people - and a car park.
