Field added, "She has unfortunately sustained quite a serious injury due to the fall, and we extend our best wishes for her recovery." This case is part of a troubling trend, with LFB reporting 206 fires sparked by e-bikes or e-scooters across London in 2025 alone. Just last month, a tragic incident in Southwark resulted in the death of a 16-year-old boy and serious injuries to another when an e-bike exploded inside a home.
