Mollie Gallagher lands stage role in Silence of the Lambs after Coronation Street exit
Mollie Gallagher lands Silence of the Lambs stage role

Mollie Gallagher, known for her role as Nina Lucas on Coronation Street, is set to leave the soap and take on a starring role in a stage production of Silence of the Lambs. The actor will play Clarice Starling, the FBI agent who must work with cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lecter to catch another murderer.

From the Cobbles to the stage

Gallagher joined Coronation Street in 2019 as Nina Lucas, the long-lost niece of Roy Cropper (David Neilson). Her character quickly became a fan favorite, known for her gothic style and kind-hearted nature. Nina was involved in major storylines, including a tragic attack inspired by the real-life murder of Sophie Lancaster, where Nina and her boyfriend Seb Franklin were beaten by Corey Brent and his gang due to their alternative appearance.

Gallagher's decision to leave the soap has saddened fans, but her new role promises to be a dramatic departure. She will star as Clarice Starling in a stage adaptation of the classic 1991 horror film The Silence of the Lambs.
