Justin Bieber in Talks for 2026 London Comeback

Pop superstar Justin Bieber is reportedly in advanced discussions to make a sensational live return to the UK this summer, headlining the prestigious British Summer Time festival in London's Hyde Park.

A Long-Awaited Return to the Stage

If confirmed, the 2026 performance would mark a monumental comeback for the 31-year-old singer, coming a full nine years after his last headline gig in the capital. Bieber's most recent full UK concert was at the very same British Summer Time event back in 2017, with only a brief appearance at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball in 2021 since then.

An insider source revealed to The Sun that negotiations are underway, stating: "His team are very keen not to overload him. But finally bosses think they will be able to entice him back. It's been a long time coming." This indicates a carefully managed return following a period of significant health challenges for the artist.

Prioritising Health After a Difficult Period

Bieber's potential return follows a sustained break from touring, which began in 2022 when he halted his global 'Justice' tour citing "exhaustion". This decision came after the singer publicly battled Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes facial paralysis.

At the time, Bieber explained his situation on Instagram, saying the illness had partly paralysed his face and forced him to cancel the North American leg of his tour. He attempted to continue in Europe but stated that performing "took a real toll" on him. After a show in Brazil, he announced he needed to "make my health the priority" and step away from touring.

BST Hyde Park's Star-Studded 2026 Lineup

The potential Bieber headline slot adds to an already impressive roster for British Summer Time 2026. The summer series will kick off with country icon Garth Brooks on June 27, marking his first UK gig in nearly three decades.

The following week will see:

  • Maroon 5 performing on July 3.
  • Mumford & Sons playing a homecoming show on July 4.
  • Pitbull taking to the stage on July 10.
  • Lewis Capaldi playing across two nights on July 11 and 12.

Bieber, whose career skyrocketed with the 2010 hit 'Baby', has remained a dominant figure in music. In a major business move, he sold the rights to his back catalogue for a reported $300 million in 2020. A headline performance at one of London's most iconic outdoor venues would signal a powerful and eagerly anticipated return to the spotlight for the global pop sensation.
