The aftermath of Theo Silverton's murder continues to grip Coronation Street next week, with the villains still causing chaos. Kit Green is on the case to find Theo's killer, and he has his sights set on one particular suspect. Will and Megan meet for a clandestine chat in the ginnel at the precinct. Megan once again twists the truth about their baby, but Will seems largely unaffected as he suggests they try again at a later time. When Megan learns that Will has stolen £2,000 from the pub, she is horrified, but he is convinced it is the answer to their problems. Though at first she demands he return it, fearing it could be traced back to them, Will assures her that there is no way the family will suspect him – and by the time they do, it will be too late.

If there is one person on Coronation Street who has audacity, it is Jodie Ramsey, and she demonstrates it with ease as she lets herself into Daniel's supposedly empty flat. Only, Daniel has not gone anywhere, and he gets the fright of his life when he exits the bathroom and finds her standing in the kitchen. When her instinctual tactic of faking neighbourly kindness by insisting she is there to return a lost key fails to pass Daniel's in-built lie detector, she quickly pivots and resorts to blackmail. When that also fails, she finally tries to appeal to his better nature by playing the victim and revealing that she has nowhere else to go. Will Daniel cave and let her stay?

When Gary Windass and Maria Connor bump into Kit in the street, Gary cannot help but make a dig. However, Kit is unbothered, making it very clear that Gary is still his prime suspect in Theo's murder, even going so far as to suggest that Maria has given him a false alibi. Has Kit got the right man in his sights, or is the killer elsewhere on the cobbles?
