Coronation Street actor Ryan Mulvey, known for playing Brody Michaelis, is set to take on a princely role in this year's pantomime production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Epstein Theatre in Liverpool. The show runs from December 5, 2026, to January 3, 2027.
Brody's journey on the cobbles
Brody Michaelis arrived on Coronation Street last year as the intimidating 'top dog' of Dylan Wilson's young offenders unit. His unpleasant behaviour was largely attributed to his parents, Mick and Lou Michaelis, played by Joe Layton and Farrel Hegarty. Brody tried to emulate his father, making enemies including local police officer Lisa Connor-Swain, before the shocking revelation that his biological father was another officer, Kit Green.
Mick and Lou were both sentenced to lengthy prison terms—Mick for the murder of Craig Tinker and Lou for attacking Gary Windass. After a brief prison escape by Mick, Brody and his siblings Joanie and Shanice were placed in the care of Sally and Tim Metcalfe. In a stable home, Brody began to soften, though he and Dylan later became involved in Carl Webster's car theft ring.

ITV relaxes panto rules
ITV recently relaxed its policy that previously prevented Coronation Street and Emmerdale actors from appearing in pantomimes. An Emmerdale spokesperson confirmed the change after actor Bradley Riches announced his role in Further Adventures of Peter Pan: The Return of Captain Hook at Sunderland Empire. The spokesperson said: 'We've agreed to release a few of the actors from Emmerdale and Coronation Street to appear in pantomime this year, we've been looking at this for a while and with plenty of notice, we've been able to release the actors for a limited time.'
