Azealia Banks to Attend Spectator Summer Party in London as Guest of Gove
Azealia Banks Invited to Spectator Summer Party

Azealia Banks, the American rapper known for her outspoken political views and social media feuds, has announced she will attend the Spectator magazine's summer party in London. The event, hosted by editor and former Conservative cabinet minister Michael Gove, will take place on July 3 at the magazine's offices in Westminster.

Banks, 32, revealed her plans on X (formerly Twitter), writing: "Ill be in London July 3 for @spectator." Gove responded promptly: "Looking forward!" The annual Spectator summer party is a staple of the British political and cultural calendar, traditionally held in the garden behind the magazine's headquarters, attracting prominent figures from politics, media, and the arts.

In May, Banks and fellow rapper Nicki Minaj publicly declared their support for Conservative party leader Kemi Badenoch. Banks posted on X: "Sorry i made fun of you guys in Britain, i rolled over and realized its actually no longer a laughing matter and I shouldnt be making jokes. I hope you all vote conservative and Listen to Kemi Badenoch." She later described Badenoch as "a star."

Earlier, in April, Banks shared a clip of Badenoch speaking in the House of Commons, captioning it: "Kemi Badenoch is f**king iconic. World leaders will respect her Professionalism alot more than goofball Nigel [Farage]."

The New York rapper, who rose to fame with her debut single "212" — listed among Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time — is no stranger to controversy. On Saturday, she posted a link to an article about U.S.-Israel military integration and wrote: "WE WON!!!!! PULL OUT OF NATO NOW!"

Banks's appearance at the Spectator party is expected to draw significant attention, given her history of feuds with celebrities such as Nicki Minaj, Zayn Malik, and Lana Del Rey. Her forthright political commentary continues to spark debate across social media platforms.
