Tayēr + Elementary, one of London’s most acclaimed cocktail bars and ranked 5th in the 2025 World's Best Cocktail Bars, is opening a pop-up in Covent Garden. The bar, which temporarily closed its Old Street location in May due to a fire, will launch Casual by Tayēr in the basement of new cocktail spot Cato.

The residency runs from July 15 to August 22, operating Wednesday to Saturday from 6pm to 1am. Guests can expect signature drinks including the famous One Sip Martini, alongside other classic serves. The pop-up is located at 17 Mercer Street, Covent Garden, WC2H 9QJ.

Monica Berg, co-owner of Tayēr + Elementary, said: 'Casual by Tayēr is our way of staying connected to the people who have supported us, even as we navigate an unexpected moment of change. This residency gives us the freedom to be playful, responsive, and a little spontaneous to create something that feels fresh while still rooted in the values that define Tayēr + Elementary.'
Award-winning pedigree
Tayēr + Elementary took 5th place in the 2025 ranking of the World’s Best Cocktail Bars and was one of seven London establishments featured in the latest Europe’s 50 Best Bars list. Cato, the host venue, opened earlier this year and is named after Cato Alexander, a pioneer of American cocktail culture.
