Why Wye is among the best places to live

Muddy Stilettos explained the village's appeal: "Wye sits at the foot of the North Downs, with the Great Stour running through it and glorious Kent countryside in every direction, yet it has its own station, excellent schools and Ashford just one stop away."

The guide added: "Add handsome period houses, good pubs, useful village shops and a genuinely lively community, and you can see why it's such a draw for families and commuters."

Wye's community was praised for offering a "lively and engaged community atmosphere with a well-loved Village Hall." Local pubs The King's Head, The New Flying Horse and The Tickled Trout, along with Joshan of Wye and Wye Coffee Shop & Kitchen, also earned recognition.
