Former contestant Judy Wilson has shared exclusive insights from inside the treacherous castle, revealing that speculation is rife among the remaining players about hidden familial bonds. The child liaison officer from Doncaster, who entered the game with her daughter Roxy, was the first to be banished despite her Faithful status.
Secret Connections Fuel Castle Speculation
While Judy and Roxy's own mother-daughter connection was a poorly-kept secret, leading to Judy's early exit, she tells Metro that the cast is buzzing with theories about other undisclosed relationships. The most prominent rumour circulating is that contestants Faraaz and Maz could be the show's first-ever father-and-son duo, deliberately keeping their link hidden from the group.
"I think there could be more secret connections," Judy revealed. "There was a lot of speculation when I was in there about Faraaz and Maz – are they son and dad? We kept thinking that."
This theory adds a fresh layer of intrigue to the psychological gameplay, as such a bond could provide a powerful, covert alliance if both players are Faithfuls, or an incredibly dangerous one if either is a Traitor.
Another Pre-Existing Pair Under Scrutiny
Judy also addressed fan theories surrounding another potential pair. Eagle-eyed viewers have spotted that Ellie and Ross knew each other before filming, citing similar holiday photos and a shared picture with colleagues from 2024.
However, Judy admitted this connection completely passed her by during her time in the game. "Ellie is quite quiet... whereas Ross is very out there and quite bubbly, so I didn't connect that at all," she explained, highlighting how differing personalities can effectively mask a prior relationship.
The Burden of a Secret and the Mystery Traitor
Reflecting on her own experience, Judy described the immense pressure of hiding her connection to Roxy. She believes she managed it better than her daughter, who famously slipped up on the very first day during a boat challenge by shouting "Mum!".
"I just switched off completely, whereas Roxy couldn't," Judy said. "I knew in the boat, but nobody else did. I tried to stay away from her as much as I could."
All eyes are now on the upcoming episode, where the identity of the mystery traitor will be revealed to existing Traitors Steven and Rachel. While Judy has grilled Roxy, who denies being the secret traitor, she has her own predictions.
She believes private detective Amanda would be the "most dangerous" addition to the Traitors' turret due to her sharp skills, but her personal guess lies elsewhere: "Personally, I think it's Jade. It would be great if it's Roxy, but other than that, I'd like it to be Jade."
Despite her early banishment, Judy is relishing her time in the spotlight. The Traitors continues to captivate audiences on BBC One, with the next episode airing Wednesday at 8pm, promising the dramatic unveiling of the secret traitor and more twists in the battle for the £120,000 prize.
