Sharon Osbourne Contemplates Major Life Change After Husband's Passing

Sharon Osbourne is reportedly considering a significant relocation following the death of her legendary husband Ozzy Osbourne. The Black Sabbath rocker passed away from a heart attack in July 2025 at age 76 after battling multiple health issues including mobility problems, coronary artery disease, and Parkinson's disease.

Return to UK and Final Resting Place

The couple, married since 1982 and parents to three children, had returned to the United Kingdom approximately fifteen months before Ozzy's death. The Birmingham-born musician had expressed his desire to spend his final years in his homeland. Their relocation was documented in a BBC program titled "Coming Home," released after Ozzy's passing, where he famously declared he "didn't want to be buried in America."

Following his death just weeks after his final concert performance, Ozzy was laid to rest on the private grounds of Welders House in Hertfordshire. The property, purchased by the couple in 1993 before their move to Los Angeles, became his final resting place just yards from the family home.

Family Considerations Drive Decision

Initially, Sharon had vowed to remain full-time at their £10 million Buckinghamshire estate where her husband is buried. However, after spending Christmas in Los Angeles with her children Aimee (42), Kelly (41), and Jack (40), all of whom reside in the United States, she has reportedly reconsidered her plans.

According to sources close to the family, Sharon has purchased a new apartment in Los Angeles and plans to spend at least half of each year there. A family friend suggests this arrangement could become more permanent over time, with expectations that she will "probably just spend most of her time in the US again within a couple of years."

Emotional Christmas Without Ozzy

The first holiday season without her husband proved particularly emotional for Sharon. Surrounded by grandchildren including Jack's four daughters and Kelly's son Sidney, born in 2022, she reportedly realized how isolated she felt in England. This experience has strengthened her determination not to miss important family milestones.

The timing coincides with Jack and his wife Aree Gearhart expecting another child, adding to their growing family. A family source explained: "Kelly and Jack were both worried about their mum because they know how traumatic the loss of Ozzy has been to her, and also being separated from her grandchildren has been tough."

"They have held many conversations about what to do, and Sharon has decided that returning to Los Angeles for 50% of the time is the right move. It allows her a change of scenery and the chance to celebrate with the grandkids," the source added.

Return to Public Life

After largely remaining out of the public eye during the past year, Sharon has recently resumed public appearances. She attended the Grammy Awards with her three children, walking the red carpet with musician Yungblud, who referred to her as his "idol" during the ceremony.

The event featured a tribute performance to Ozzy Osbourne by Post Malone, War Pigs with Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, Slash, and Andrew Watt. Cameras captured the emotional reaction of the Osbourne family as they watched the performance from the audience.

Reflections on Final Moments

In her first interview as a widow in December, Sharon spoke with Piers Morgan about Ozzy's final hours. She recalled: "He was up and down to the bathroom all night, and it was like, 4:30, and he said, 'Wake up.' I said, 'I'm already bloody awake; you've woken me up.' And he said, 'Kiss me.' And then he said, 'Hug me tight.'"

She expressed lingering thoughts about whether she could have done more, saying: "I can't help wondering if I should have, could I have? If only I'd have told him I loved him more. If only I'd have held him tighter." Sharon revealed that Ozzy would often discuss "when [he] goes" and ask if she might remarry, to which she would respond bluntly: "F**k off. Are you joking? P*ss off."

When questioned further about the possibility of remarriage, Sharon stated unequivocally that she could "never, ever, ever imagine" marrying someone else now.
