In dramatic scenes set to air on BBC One next week, Ravi Gulati is forced to confront a horrifying truth, leading to a massive confession that brings the police swarming into Walford.
A Waking Nightmare Leads to a Terrible Realisation
The week's episodes will see the troubled drug dealer, played by Aaron Thiara, wake up disorientated on a cold street with no memory of the previous night. Desperate for answers, Ravi searches through his phone only to discover a series of deeply worrying messages.
It is in this moment of clarity that the scales fall from his eyes. Ravi pieces together the chilling reality that he is responsible for a terrible incident that occurred while he was under the influence, having been drugged. Struggling to process the gravity of his actions, he wastes little time in confessing everything to Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan-Levy), who is left reeling by his shocking admission.
The Police Arrive and the Pressure Mounts
The fallout from Ravi's confession is immediate. The police subsequently arrive in Albert Square and make a beeline for Priya, demanding to speak to her about the incident in question. Their presence leaves Ravi visibly shaken.
After Priya has spoken with the detectives, their attention turns squarely to Ravi himself. The burning question for viewers is whether the informant, who is working for DS Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), will reveal the full truth about what happened that fateful night.
Revenge Plots and Undercover Tensions
This crisis comes at a time when Ravi is already under immense pressure. Later in the week, Jack pushes him to step up his undercover work as an informant. Ravi originally agreed to this deal to secure his freedom after being arrested for his role in the ordeal of Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) and Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho).
Meanwhile, Harry is hell-bent on revenge for his weeks of captivity, a situation Ravi facilitated by installing the volatile Okie into the flat. With help from his mother, Nicola (Laura Doddington), Harry spikes Ravi's drink in upcoming scenes. This leads to Ravi staggering outside, where Harry ensures he ends up in The Arches, dumped in a pit.
As hallucinations take hold, a terrified Ravi lashes out after climbing free. It is the following morning that he awakes with no memory, beginning the chain of events that leads to his earth-shattering confession. With the police now involved and his past sins closing in, will this spell the end for Ravi Gulati?
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and is available to stream from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
