London's first-ever light trail inspired by the magical world of Peter Pan has officially opened its gates, transforming the historic grounds of Kenwood House into a winter wonderland. Named Neverland at Kenwood, this spellbinding experience invites visitors to embark on a festive adventure through Hampstead Heath, running from now until 3 January 2025.
A Journey to a Storybook World
Visitors are invited to follow a path of Tinker Bell's fairy dust, leaving the imagined rooftops of London behind to venture into the heart of JM Barrie's beloved Neverland. The trail soars past a glowing representation of Big Ben, allows you to wander through the Darling family's home, and transports you into a fantastical realm where imagination takes flight after dark.
Each section of the trail reveals another iconic scene from the classic story. You can discover the Lost Boys' hideout nestled amongst twinkling trees, encounter the eerie glow of Skull Rock emerging from the shadows, and marvel at Captain Hook's majestic pirate ship, all illuminated in a dazzling display of colour. Theatrical lighting, immersive storytelling, and a carefully crafted soundscape combine to bring Barrie's timeless world to life under the winter sky.
More Than Just Magic: A Charitable Legacy
In a fitting tribute to the author's enduring legacy, the experience also supports a vital cause. JM Barrie gifted the rights to Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in 1929. Continuing this spirit of generosity, £1 from every ticket sold (plus VAT) for Neverland at Kenwood will be donated to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
This contribution will help fund the hospital's lifesaving treatments, pioneering research, and vital support services for seriously ill children and their families.
