Notting Hill Carnival will celebrate its 60th anniversary this weekend, with the parade route running from Westbourne Park Station to Elkstone Road, according to event organisers and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The children's parade takes place on Sunday, and the adult parade on Monday, both following the same route through Westbourne Grove, Ladbroke Grove, Kensal Road and Golborne Road.
Official Carnival Maps Released
Event organisers have published an official map showing the full parade route, while Kensington and Chelsea Council has also released its own version. Both maps highlight the main viewing areas and the path the floats and performers will take over the bank holiday weekend.
The route snakes from Westbourne Park Station, passing through some of the most iconic streets in west London. Attendees can use these maps to plan their day and find the best spots to watch the procession.
Best Viewing Spots Along the Route
The Judges' Area, next to the Brunel Estate near Westbourne Park Station, remains one of the top viewing locations. For the second consecutive year, the judges' Grandstand is open to the public, with tickets available for those who want a reserved space.
Ladbroke Grove offers a long stretch of road, making it easier to find a good vantage point. Westbourne Grove, the second longest section of the route, is also recommended, with advice to stick to the north side for the best views.
Music, Food and Facilities at the 60th Anniversary
Sound systems are a major draw at Carnival, and this year's lineup includes Different Strokes playing hip-hop, jungle and drum'n'bass, Gaz's Rockin' Blues with ska, rock'n'roll and rocksteady, and KCC and the Rockin Crew featuring house music. These are just three of the many options available.
Food offerings have expanded to over 300 stalls, up from 250 last year, including Jamaican jerk chicken, Trinidadian roti and Guyanese pepper pot. Most stalls offer vegetarian options, and the number of vegan traders has increased for 2026.
More than 1,000 toilets will be available along the route, with accessible facilities listed at locations including Tavistock Crescent, Shrewsbury Road, Leamington Road Villas, Aldridge Road Villas, Artesian Road, Northumberland Place, Sutherland Place, Needham Road, Adair Road, All Saints Road, Blenheim Crescent, Canal Way, Colville Gardens, Colville Road, Colville Terrace, Denbigh Road, East Row, Faraday Road, Kensington Park Road, Ladbroke Square, Lansdowne Road, Notting Hill Gate, Pembridge Square, Pembridge Place, St Charles Square, Stanley Crescent and Treverton Street.
Getting to the Carnival
Organisers recommend taking the tube or Elizabeth Line to Paddington as the best option. Special bus services will run over the weekend, including the 148X to Victoria and Vauxhall, operating between Notting Hill Gate and Victoria from 10am to 5pm, and then Notting Hill Gate and Vauxhall until 10pm.
