In Monday's (August 24) episode of Hollyoaks, now available on Channel 4 streaming and airing on E4 at 7pm, Jenson Cole (Ryan Clayton) made a major discovery that could change everything for Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) and Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe).
Warren had been searching for weeks for the seed phrases needed to access crypto wallets owned by Gemma Johnson (Tisha Merry), which he and Mercedes believe are the key to their fresh start in Miami. However, their plans were complicated when Jenson broke into their flat to steal the wallets, later revealing to Warren that he is still alive and wants to get to know him as a big brother.
Undercover cop twist
A huge twist followed when scenes confirmed that Jenson was an undercover cop determined to take down both Warren and Gemma. After Jenson exposed her as the ringleader of the gang operation behind the crypto wallets, Gemma returned to the flat where Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) and grandad Froggy Black (John Middleton) previously lived to shred documents she didn't want falling into the wrong hands.
Later, Gemma gifted Donny Clarke (Louis Emerick) a painting to celebrate his success at the force. The painting was oddly intricate, and Donny and Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) accepted it, hanging it on the wall, though they didn't know what to make of it.
The painting's secret
Gemma later slept with Jenson, and things took another unexpected turn when Jenson glared at the new painting on the wall, leading to a significant discovery. The painting contains a series of smaller images inside the larger one, and Jenson realized these images represent the seed phrases needed to access the crypto wallets.
‘Gotcha!’, he said with a smile. The question now is what Jenson intends to do with the seed phrases—will he use them to ensure Gemma is taken down, or does he want the fortune for himself?
