Aardman's Immersive Experience to Launch in King's Cross This October

Londoners will soon have the opportunity to dive into the beloved worlds of Aardman's iconic characters through a groundbreaking immersive experience. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the British animation studio, a new themed exhibition is set to open in the capital this autumn.

Celebrating Five Decades of Animation Magic

Located at Lightroom in King's Cross, the experience will allow fans to explore the rich history of Aardman's claymation artistry. Visitors will gain insights into the creation of cherished characters such as Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, and Morph. The exhibition, titled Larger Than Life: Starring Wallace & Gromit, Shaun and More, is scheduled to debut on October 14, 2026.

Cutting-Edge Technology Brings Characters to Life

The show will utilize state-of-the-art projection technology across Lightroom's four 11-meter-high walls and floor. It will blend classic scenes from Aardman's films and television series with previously unseen archival material. Additionally, a brand-new animation has been specially crafted for the venue to enhance the immersive experience.

David Sabel, executive producer at Lightroom, expressed his enthusiasm for the project. He stated, "I've been a lifelong admirer of Aardman's work, and they were among our top priorities for Lightroom. Visiting their Bristol studios is truly magical—you feel as though you're shrinking into their miniature worlds. At Lightroom, we aim to replicate that sensation on a grand scale, allowing audiences to both join the characters in their environments and understand the creative process behind them."

Ticket Information and Availability

Ticket prices start at £25 for adults and £15 for children, with options available through the Lightroom website. The venue will also offer family discounts, as well as group and educational tickets to accommodate various visitors.

This immersive experience promises to be a highlight for animation enthusiasts and families alike, offering a unique glimpse into the artistry behind some of Britain's most beloved animated creations.
