The countdown to Christmas has officially begun at Madame Tussauds London, with the highly anticipated return of a festive favourite. The world-renowned attraction has ushered in the holiday season by bringing back its meticulously updated wax figure of the king of Christmas himself, Michael Buble.
A Festive Makeover for a Beloved Figure
The lifelike model of the Canadian crooner, which was first unveiled in 2019, has received a studio-fresh update just in time for the celebrations. Madame Tussauds' expert artists have been working with painstaking detail to ensure the figure is ready for its close-up.
The studio team individually inserted beard hairs and completely repainted the singer's face, capturing his charismatic smile. The 50-year-old singer is immortalised in a sophisticated tuxedo designed by Stefano Ricci, perfectly embodying his classic stage presence.
The Soundtrack to the Season
Bublé has become synonymous with the festive period, and his return to the attraction mirrors his annual dominance of the music charts. The musician is famous for his Christmas anthems, including Let It Snow!, Holly Jolly Christmas, and Santa Clause Is Coming To Town.
His connection to the season was powerfully demonstrated once again when the deluxe special edition of his Christmas album returned to the number one spot in the UK charts for the week between December 27, 2024, and January 2, 2025.
‘The Countdown is Officially On!’
Steve Blackburn, General Manager of Madame Tussauds London, shared the excitement, stating: "The Christmas adverts are hitting our TV screens, gift lists are being written, and Michael Buble is defrosting... The countdown is officially on!"
He praised the talented team of artists, comparing them to "Santa's elves" for their work in preparing the figure. "He's one of our most popular figures, especially at this time of year," Blackburn added. "We're excited to welcome our guests through the doors this season, meet the immortalised king of the festive period and have themselves 'A Merry Little Christmas!'"
Visitors can see the stunning Michael Buble wax figure in the awards party section of the London attraction from Thursday, November 20.
