It's Bagels, the London-based bagel chain known for its New York-style offerings, is set to open its fourth location in the city this August. The new outpost will be situated on Hampstead High Street in NW3, bringing its viral bagels to the Hampstead community.
Expansion and Menu
Founded by New Yorker Dan Martensen, It's Bagels first opened its doors in Primrose Hill in 2023. Since then, the chain has gained a cult following for its chewy bagels and generous fillings. The Hampstead location will offer both eat-in and take-away services, with a menu featuring the chain's most popular sandwiches. Highlights include 'The Works,' which comes with schmear (cream cheese), lox, capers, onion, lemon, and seasonal tomato, and 'BEC,' a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Bagel toppings include garlic, onion, poppy seed, salt, sesame seed, 'everything,' cinnamon and raisin, or plain.
Opening Details and Community Event
While the exact opening date has not been announced, the shop will celebrate with a back-to-school party for local families sometime in August. Every child attending will receive a free bagel. Once open, It's Bagels Hampstead will operate from 8am to 6pm Sunday through Thursday, and 8am to 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
'Hampstead feels like a natural fit for us,' said founder Dan Martensen. 'It's genuinely special, with a real sense of community, incredible architecture, families everywhere, and the Heath, one of the greatest gathering places of all. We always prefer a great neighbourhood over a location that simply looks good on a spreadsheet.'
The new location is at 60 Hampstead High St, NW3 1QH.
