Gordon Ramsay to Open New Restaurant at Sea Containers Hotel on South Bank
Gordon Ramsay Takes Over Sea Containers Restaurant

Gordon Ramsay is taking over the restaurant at Sea Containers, a five-star hotel next to the River Thames on London's South Bank. The celebrity chef is partnering with the hotel's ground-floor dining space, launching Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers from autumn this year.

A New Chapter for Sea Containers

Sea Containers has already established itself as a premier cocktails destination, thanks to its bar Lyaness, run by Ryan Chetiyawardana, one of the world's top mixologists. Lyaness has earned acclaim for its experimental menus and unique ingredients, such as 'tree caramel' and 'micro-organisms,' and is the only London venue to receive a three-pin rating from The Pinnacle Guide. However, the hotel's restaurant has not achieved the same level of recognition—until now.

What to Expect

Few details have been announced about the collaboration, but the restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner inspired by its riverside setting. It will also feature a riverside terrace for alfresco dining. Andy Wenlock, CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global, stated that the new venue will capture 'the vibrancy of the South Bank while upholding the standards of quality, atmosphere, and hospitality that define our restaurants globally.'

Until the new restaurant opens, the current Sea Containers Restaurant will continue operating as usual, offering panoramic views of the South Bank. This announcement comes alongside news that three London bars were recently added to a prestigious global guide, and Time Out has updated its list of the best cafes in London.
