Wetherspoons is officially set to open its first-ever pub in London's iconic West End, taking over part of the historic Trocadero complex at 30 Shaftesbury Avenue. The new venue, named Piccadilly Hall, marks a significant move for the pub chain into the heart of the theatre district.

The Trocadero, first built in 1896, was extensively rebuilt over time and became a major entertainment destination in the 1990s with attractions like SegaWorld. However, financial constraints led to a decline, and most of the site is now occupied by the Zedwell Piccadilly Circus hotel, which opened in 2020 with 728 windowless rooms and a rooftop bar.
Pub Details
Piccadilly Hall will span more than 3,600 square feet and accommodate around 280 covers. It will operate from 7 am to midnight, serving food and drink throughout the day. The pub is part of a multi-million-pound investment by Criterion Capital, which aims to regenerate the Trocadero estate into a thriving hub.
