Barclays has introduced a groundbreaking switch benefit worth up to £600, offering select customers a 'signature experience' when they move to a Premier Account. The perk includes luxury options such as Michelin-star dining, overnight hotel stays, or annual entertainment passes. The offer runs from June 9 to August 27, 2026, but eligibility is limited to high-income individuals with significant savings.
How to qualify for the £600 Barclays offer
To open a Premier Current Account, you must have an annual income of £75,000 or more. According to YouGov, only 4% of Brits earned over £70,000 in 2024, making this a select group. Additionally, you need to hold at least £100,000 in savings or investments with Barclays. After opening the account via the Current Account Switch Service (CASS) on the Barclays app, you must transfer two or more active direct debits and deposit at least £4,000 within 30 days.
Available perks
Qualifying customers can choose from several luxury experiences:
- Dining: Premium restaurant experiences at venues like Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay or the Savoy Grill, including a curated menu, wine pairings, welcome drinks, and a £50 Uber credit.
- Hotel stays: Overnight stays for two at hotels such as Dakota Hotels or De Vere, with champagne on arrival, a three-course meal, and spa access.
- Entertainment: Premium tickets to stadium concerts at Wembley or England cricket at Headingley.
- Family passes: Annual passes to Merlin Entertainments attractions, plus Cineworld and Picturehouse Cinema tickets with drinks and popcorn.
Alternative £200 offer
For those who don't meet the Premier criteria, Barclays also offers a £200 cash reward for switching to a standard Barclays Current Account. To qualify, open a Barclays Current Account, complete a full switch via CASS with two or more active direct debits, and deposit £2,000 within 30 days. The £200 is paid within 28 working days.
