M&G has appointed a former BNP Paribas Asset Management executive with extensive ETF expertise to head its life client business, according to a company announcement.
New Leadership for Life Client Division
The asset manager named Sarah Jones as head of life clients, effective immediately. Jones joins from BNP Paribas Asset Management, where she served as head of ETF distribution for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Strategic Focus on Distribution
In her new role, Jones will oversee M&G's life client relationships and distribution strategy. She will report to James Goble, head of UK institutional and life clients.
Jones brings over 15 years of industry experience, including stints at BlackRock and Invesco. At BNP Paribas AM, she was responsible for growing the firm's ETF business across the EMEA region.
Strengthening Product Offerings
M&G said the appointment underscores its commitment to expanding its life insurance and retirement solutions. The firm manages over £340 billion in assets and serves millions of customers globally.
"Sarah's deep understanding of ETF markets and client needs will be invaluable as we continue to develop innovative solutions for our life clients," said Goble.
Jones added, "I am excited to join M&G at a time of significant opportunity in the life and retirement space. I look forward to helping the firm deliver for its clients."
The hire comes as asset managers increasingly focus on distribution capabilities to capture growth in the retirement market.
