Dwayne Johnson's showbiz celebrations took an unexpected turn when, shortly after attending Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, he was pulled over by the Los Angeles Police Department. Despite the incident, the 53-year-old actor remained composed, turning the encounter into a moment of calm professionalism.
Police Stop After Star-Studded Event
The Rock, known for his roles in Jungle Cruise and The Smashing Machine, had just delivered a heartfelt speech honoring Blunt and Tucci. However, on his way home, he was stopped due to overly tinted windows, as reported by TMZ. California law requires front windows to allow more than 70% of light through, with windshield tinting only permitted on the top four inches. Non-compliance typically results in a fine and required modifications.
Johnson, still dressed in a crisp white shirt and cream trousers, stepped out of his vehicle to cooperate. Photos and video footage show him chatting calmly with the officer, signing paperwork, and even sharing a friendly handshake before heading on his way.
Heartfelt Speeches at the Ceremony
Earlier, Johnson had been surrounded by fellow celebrities at the Walk of Fame ceremony. He praised Blunt, saying, 'Every single day, knowing Emily, as many of us do, that is one grateful woman who will wake up feet on the ground, being grateful about every moment.' He also joked that 'it's about time' she received a star.
Blunt, 43, was joined by her husband John Krasinski and her sister Felicity Blunt, who has been married to Tucci since 2012. In her speech, she expressed how meaningful the honor was, stating, 'You guys and the great loves of my life, who are all here, have made life such a deep privilege.'
Matt Damon also spoke, saying he 'can't think of two people more deserving to be added to this cultural landmark.' He added, 'You've been able to navigate and thrive in an incredibly difficult business with such grace.'
Tucci, 65, was moved by Meryl Streep's declaration of him as a 'national treasure.' He remarked, 'I never thought that I would be, first of all, working with her, but to be here today and have her say those things about me is probably the greatest honour I've ever had.'
Johnson's Own Star
Johnson already has his own star on the Walk of Fame, situated beside those of Vince McMahon and Kermit the Frog. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for Blunt and Tucci, who star together in the upcoming Devil Wears Prada sequel.
Representatives for Dwayne Johnson have been contacted for comment. The actor's calm handling of the police stop has drawn attention, showcasing his ability to maintain grace under pressure.
