British Transport Police have launched a manhunt following a brazen robbery at a London Underground station. The incident occurred shortly before 3pm on Tuesday, March 10, when a woman was crossing the overbridge at Harrow and Wealdstone station.
Attack Details
According to detectives, two men approached the woman. One of them grabbed the chain from her neck and forcefully ripped it off before both suspects fled the scene. The victim was not physically injured but was left shaken by the ordeal.
Suspect Descriptions
Police have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to in connection with the robbery. Both appear to be of South Asian background. The first suspect has medium-length hair and was wearing a navy blue coat and dark tracksuit bottoms. The second suspect has short hair and was wearing a black coat and burgundy tracksuit bottoms.
Police Appeal
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Detectives investigating a robbery at Harrow and Wealdstone Underground station in March have released these images in connection. Just before 3pm on Tuesday 10 March, a woman was walking across the overbridge at the station when two men approached her. One of the men grabbed the chain around her neck and ripped it off before both men fled the scene."
The spokesperson added: "Detectives would like to speak to the men pictured, as they believe they may have information which could help their investigation. Anyone who recognises them is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 410 of 10 March. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
