Police Launch Public Appeal to Identify Suspect in London Underground Sexual Assault

British Transport Police (BTP) have issued an urgent appeal to the public, releasing a CCTV image of a man they need to locate following a serious sexual assault on the London Underground. The incident occurred on a Jubilee line train late last year, and detectives are intensifying their efforts to find the individual responsible as soon as possible.

Details of the Disturbing Incident on the Jubilee Line

The assault took place on Friday, November 21, at approximately 10.45pm. The victim, a woman, was initially approached by the suspect while she waited on the platform at North Greenwich station. According to police reports, the man claimed to be from the Midlands before making inappropriate comments about her appearance and asking intrusive questions.

He then boarded the same Jubilee line service as the woman and proceeded to sexually assault her during the journey. The suspect fled the scene at Waterloo station around 15 minutes later, and despite ongoing investigations, he remains unidentified.

CCTV Image Released in Connection with the Investigation

In a bid to advance the case, BTP detectives have now shared CCTV footage and an image of the man they believe may hold crucial information. A statement from the force emphasised the importance of public assistance, stating: "Detectives believe the man in the image may have information that could help their investigation."

The photo depicts a White man of average build with short brown hair. He was wearing a grey puffer-style jacket with a hood and light blue jeans at the time of the incident.
