TfL Closures This Weekend: Tube, Overground, DLR Disruptions

Transport for London has confirmed its full list of closures for this weekend. Between Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, three London Underground lines will partly shut, along with sections of two London Overground lines, the DLR and the Elizabeth line.

The Met is planning an "unprecedented" policing operation on Saturday as two protest marches and the FA Cup final take place on the same day. Thousands of officers will take to the streets and armoured vehicles will be deployed along with police horses, dogs, drones and helicopters as police aim to avoid clashes between groups of protesters.

Scotland Yard has put heavy restrictions in place to keep the Unite the Kingdom and pro-Palestine Nakba Day rallies apart. Tube travel around Central London is expected to be extremely busy, along with the Jubilee, Metropolitan and Bakerloo lines both before and after the match between Chelsea and Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.

No closures should affect people travelling to these events, although runners and spectators attending the Hackney Half Marathon on Sunday should be aware that Homerton station will not open until 11am. TfL has advised people to use Hackney Wick instead, while extra services will be put on to deal with crowds travelling to East London for the event.
