Severe Delays on Elizabeth Line and Tube Lines

There are severe delays on the Elizabeth line this morning (Monday, June 15). The disruption affects services between Paddington and the western termini, including Reading, Heathrow Terminal 4, and Heathrow Terminal 5.

Cause of Delays

The delays are due to faulty overhead cables near Hanwell station in West London. Engineers are working to fix the issue, but it is not yet known when services will return to normal.

Other Tube Lines Affected

  • Victoria Line: Severe delays on the entire line due to a track fault at Walthamstow Central. Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, the Overground, and rail lines.
  • Piccadilly Line: Minor delays between Acton Town and all Heathrow Terminals/Uxbridge westbound only due to an earlier signal failure at Wood Green.
  • Metropolitan Line: Severe delays between Moor Park and Watford due to train cancellations. A good service is operating on the rest of the line.

Elizabeth Line Update

As of 09:30 BST, the Elizabeth line is experiencing severe delays between Paddington and Reading, and Paddington and Heathrow Airport. London Underground is accepting valid tickets via any reasonable route. A good service is reported on the rest of the line.
