British Transport Police (BTP) has launched an investigation into an assault on a Circle line train in Central London, after a man pushed a female passenger who was only prevented from falling to the ground by other travellers. The incident occurred at the height of the morning rush hour, at approximately 8.30am on Tuesday, July 28.
What happened on the Circle line train
According to BTP, the man boarded the train at King’s Cross St Pancras station, which was heading towards Aldgate. He then pushed a woman who was already on board the carriage. The force stated that she was only saved from hitting the floor because other passengers intervened to catch her.
Following the push, an altercation broke out between the man and the other passengers who had stepped in. The incident took place on board the moving train, and officers are now working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the confrontation.
