Covent Garden's Seven Dials neighbourhood will be pedestrianised for one day this July, as the area goes completely car-free for a Summer Street Party. On Saturday July 25, all eight streets surrounding the Seven Dials Monument will be closed to traffic, giving visitors more space to explore.
Car-free streets and shopping deals
The pedestrian-only zone will cover Monmouth Street, Mercer Street, Earlham Street, and Shorts Gardens. Alongside the car-free streets, local businesses will offer special discounts and free gifts. Shops including Ganni, Kiko Milano, and Moleskine will have sales of up to 50 percent off, while Missoma, Guerlain, and Nespresso will offer complimentary gifts to customers.
Pop-up bars and dining offers
A Summer Street Party Bar will serve cocktails created for the day, such as the Monmouth Margarita, Covent Garden Breeze, Street Party Paloma, and Seven Dials Spritz. Restaurants like Brasserie Max at the Covent Garden Hotel, Cô Thành, and Harry's will run special street party offers for diners.
Art installation and wider campaign
The event is part of Covent Garden's 'Now Playing' campaign, celebrating The Royal Ballet School's 100th birthday. A large art installation featuring 25 hand-crafted paper sculptures will float through the Market Building's Central Avenue, running until September.
