A teenager was rushed to hospital after being stabbed outside a London Underground station in broad daylight on Monday, May 18. The attack occurred outside Burnt Oak station in Edgware, north London, at around 4:17 pm.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) dispatched paramedics, a clinician in a response car, an incident response officer, and London's air ambulance to the scene. The victim, whose sex has not been confirmed, was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre. An update on their condition is awaited.
An LAS spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.17pm today to reports of a stabbing outside Burnt Oak Underground station, Edgware. We sent resources including ambulance crews, a clinician in a response car, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance. We treated a teenager at the scene before taking him to a London major trauma centre.”
The Metropolitan Police have been informed and are investigating the incident. No arrests have been reported so far. Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact police.
