A motorcyclist in his 40s has tragically died following a collision in South Ockendon, near the London border. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Cruick Avenue at approximately 6:10 PM on Saturday, April 18.
Paramedics provided immediate treatment to the injured man at the roadside before transporting him to a hospital. Despite their efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries. While the victim has not yet been publicly identified, his family is being supported by specially trained officers from Essex Police.
The police have launched an appeal for witnesses to come forward as investigations continue. Authorities are particularly interested in reviewing any doorbell or dash cam footage that may have captured the incident.
In a statement, Essex Police said: "We are appealing for any information about a fatal collision in South Ockendon on Saturday 18 April. A collision involving a motorcycle was reported in Cruick Avenue at about 6:10 PM. Sadly, the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40s, died later in hospital. His family are being supported by our officers, and our enquiries are ongoing. We are appealing for any witnesses, doorbell or dash cam footage relating to this incident.
