Catford Tesco stabbing: Man in 50s attacked in car park

A man in his 50s was stabbed after a fight broke out in the car park of a Catford supermarket on Friday evening. The incident occurred outside the Tesco Superstore on Thomas' Lane at approximately 5:50 PM on May 15.

Paramedics and London's Air Ambulance treated the victim for multiple stab wounds at the scene before transporting him to a hospital. The Metropolitan Police confirmed on Sunday, May 17, that his injuries are not life-changing.

No arrests have been made yet, and investigations are ongoing. Police are urging witnesses to come forward to assist with the inquiry.

Police Statement

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "At around 5:50 PM, police received reports of a stabbing following a fight in the car park of a supermarket in Thomas’ Lane, Catford. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. One man in his 50s was found at the scene with stab wounds and was transferred to hospital. Following assessment, his injuries have been found to be non-life changing. There have been no arrests at this stage."
