Revolut Secures Major Manchester City Partnership in Premier League Expansion
Fintech giant Revolut has officially entered the Premier League arena through a strategic partnership with Manchester City Football Club. This landmark agreement represents a significant expansion of Revolut's existing relationship with Manchester City Women, which began in early 2025.
Partnership Details and Implementation
The comprehensive deal designates Revolut as a global partner of Manchester City, with the fintech company's logo appearing prominently below shirt numbers on the back of Pep Guardiola's team's jerseys. This sponsorship arrangement will debut during this year's Carabao Cup final against Arsenal, covering all of the club's cup competitions moving forward.
Peter Laundy, senior vice president of partnerships at City Football Group, emphasized the natural progression of this collaboration: "Since Revolut's initial investment in women's football through our partnership with Manchester City Women in early 2025, we have successfully collaborated to create memorable experiences for our supporters and Revolut customers. We are tremendously proud to expand this relationship today as Revolut's chosen partner for their entry into men's football."
Strategic Integration and Fan Experience Enhancement
Laundy further explained that the partnership extends beyond traditional sponsorship: "Through this collaboration and the integration of Revolut's technological expertise, we aim to enhance fan experience and operational efficiency while creating unique engagement opportunities with the club."
Antoine Le Nel, chief marketing and growth officer at Revolut, highlighted the shared values between the organizations: "We are immensely proud to become the official back-of-shirt partner for both Manchester City men's and women's first teams. Revolut and Manchester City share a fundamental DNA of high performance, boundless ambition, and pioneering spirit – making this partnership expansion a natural progression."
Beyond Traditional Sponsorship
Le Nel emphasized that this represents more than conventional brand placement: "This partnership transcends simply placing our logo on a shirt. We are integrating Revolut directly into the core of fan experiences at the club, ensuring Manchester City supporters enjoy the same fast, seamless, and rewarding interactions with their football club as they experience with their financial services."
Manchester City's Partnership Portfolio Context
Manchester City's sponsorship roster continues to be led by Etihad Airways, with Puma serving as another key partner. The club's three-year agreement with OKX, announced in 2023, is scheduled to conclude this season, with extension discussions currently underway.
This Premier League partnership significantly expands Revolut's growing sports portfolio, which already includes collaborations with the NBA, Audi's Formula 1 team, Italian Serie A club Como 1907, and French rugby team Toulouse. The London-based digital banking platform continues to demonstrate its commitment to strategic sports marketing as part of its global expansion strategy.
