Mbeumo and Cunha injury latest before Man Utd vs Brentford

Manchester United are optimistic that attackers Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha will be available for Monday's Premier League match against Brentford. Cunha was substituted during last weekend's 1-0 victory over Chelsea due to discomfort in his right groin, while Mbeumo limped off late in the same game and was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee.

Carrick's Pre-Match Update

Manager Michael Carrick did not address the duo's condition in Thursday's press conference, but Mbeumo was spotted training that morning. Cunha, however, was not seen with the squad as he took a recovery day away from the team.

Leny Yoro and Patrick Dorgu

Defender Leny Yoro was not fit enough to return to training on Thursday, but Carrick expressed hope he could feature against Brentford after missing the Chelsea match due to a knock. 'We're still working on him,' Carrick said. 'There's a possibility, but at this stage, it's not 100 per cent sure.' Patrick Dorgu, sidelined since late January with a hamstring injury, is making progress. 'Patrick's working his way back,' Carrick added. 'He's making good progress and is closer to training with us.'
