Emmerdale's Isabel Hodgins has posted wonderful snaps from her first family holiday since becoming a mum. The 32-year-old actress, best known for playing Victoria Sugden on the ITV soap, welcomed daughter Georgie Grace in February.
First Holiday as a Family
Isabel and partner Adam shared cute pictures on Instagram after the birth, including an admission from Adam that he fainted twice during Isabel's labour. 'My greatest achievement,' he wrote. 'Watching my @isabelhodgins bring our GG into the world will stay with me forever. I have never been prouder. And yes…I fainted. Twice. Thankfully she's the strong one.'
The couple have since continued to post updates on Georgie and their life as first-time parents. Recently, they enjoyed a holiday, relishing the relaxing vibes and sunnier climate. Isabel took to Instagram a couple of days ago to share a small insight into their first family trip.
The adorable images include Georgie in the pool with mum and dad, chilling in her pram, and relaxing with Isabel on a sun lounger. There's also a snap of the three together and one of Isabel looking stunning in a brown co-ord outfit. 'Making memories with our favourite little travel buddy,' Isabel wrote in the caption.
Emmerdale Departure and New Arrivals
Isabel's Emmerdale character Victoria departed the Dales earlier this year after being blackmailed by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous). Joe secured the Sugden farmland from Vic and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) by using proof of Vic killing John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). Haunted by bad memories, Vic left with son Harry to start a new life abroad. There's no indication Victoria wants to return soon, meaning she will miss the arrival of relative Serena Sugden.
Discussing the arrival of Casey Al-Shaqsy as Serena, Emmerdale Producer Laura Shaw said: 'The Sugdens are a core part of the Emmerdale fabric, and we are thrilled to welcome Casey to the family. Her character will be at the heart of some extremely gripping and unexpected storylines, forcing her to make difficult choices that will have dramatic consequences for some of the village's biggest names.'
Casey added: 'I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining such an iconic show and playing a Sugden! Serena is a fantastic character with so much going on beneath the surface. I can't wait for the audience to see the drama unfold.'
