Eric Pollard, played by Chris Chittell, is set to receive an unexpected surprise in upcoming episodes of Emmerdale. Eric's Marriage of Convenience
Eric's decision to marry Kerry was driven by financial convenience and tax purposes, not romance. Due to the progression of his Parkinson's disease, he moved his assets to protect his grandson Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) from care home fees after his death. Despite the lack of romantic love, Eric felt a pang of jealousy when he discovered Kerry was seeing Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson). He meddled in typical Eric Pollard fashion, but his plans backfired.
When Kerry realized Eric knew about her secret fling, she ended things with Jai, stating she didn't want Eric to be alone.
