Lorraine Stanley made an unexpected return to EastEnders as Karen Taylor in the June 22, 2026 episode, contacting Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) via phone call. The episode is available on BBC iPlayer and will air at 7:30pm.
Karen's Warning to Chelsea
Chelsea reached out to Karen after becoming unsettled by text messages from Sheila Atkins (Sheila Ruskin), the grandmother of serial killer Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith). Sheila had recently entered Chelsea's life following son Jordan's (Jahsaiah Williams) accident involving Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt).
When Chelsea attempted to contact Karen, she reached her voicemail. Later, Jordan answered Karen's return call while playing with Chelsea's phone. Karen warned Chelsea off getting to know Sheila, revealing that Sheila was 'always close' to Gray, who could 'do no wrong' in her eyes. Chelsea, meanwhile, offered Sheila the opportunity to meet Jordan, unaware of the potential danger.
Karen's History on the Show
Karen debuted on EastEnders in 2017 and left as a full-time character in 2023, with her family. She returned several times in 2024 following the death of her son Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One or streams from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
